Oke to APC; Ondo guber: Leave me out of your woes

The governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy in Ondo State, Chief Olusola Oke, on Wednesday chided the leadership of the All Progressives Congress for its alleged unguarded statements concerning his campaign tours. He also asked the APC leadership to face their internal wrangling and not to involve him in their internal crisis.

Oke, who spoke through the Chairman, Media and Publicity of his Campaign Committee, Mr. Kolawole Olabisi, frowned at what he termed “an unguarded statement” credited to the APC in which it berated Oke for shedding tears over the deplorable state of the roads in the state during his campaign tour of Ondo East Local Government Area on Monday.
He said,
Isn’t it a shame that a party which has the serious business of campaign on its hands could start bellyaching on the business of another party? One would have expected the state government who had neglected the road networks across the state in the past seven and a half years to be the one attempting to defend itself and definitely not the APC.

What this has shown is that Olusola Oke is their problem, because he has the overwhelming support of the people of the state as shown from the legions of members of the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party who have been flocking into our party, the AD, in the last few days.

However, the Deputy Chairman of the APC, Mr. Ade Adetimehin, has said that Oke wanted to deceive the people of the state.
Adetimehin said,
He thought shedding fake tears would bring support for him and he does not know that the people of the state are now wiser. Nobody can deceive us with tears again.
