Manchester United vs Everton: Team news, injuries, possible lineups

Manchester United will take on Everton in the Premier League fixture on Sunday evening. The Red Devils head to the game following a 2-2 draw with Chelsea last week Saturday.

The Old Trafford club have won five of the last seven meetings between the two teams in all competitions, including a 4-0 success in the corresponding match last season.

United manager, Jose Mourinho, will welcome forward, Jesse Lingard back into his starting XI after the England star recovered from a groin injury. The likes of Marouane Fellaini, Scott McTominay and Alexis Sanchez, however, remain on the sidelines for the hosts.

Defender, Victor Lindelof is expected to partner Chris Smalling at centre-back, with Ashley Young expected to start on the right.

Midfielder, Fred has struggled to make his mark at United following a summer move, and the Brazilian could again find himself on the bench, with midfielder, Juan Mata impressive against Chelsea last weekend.

Meanwhile, Everton head to the game following a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in the Premier League fixture last week Sunday.

Everton coach, Silva has no injury worries in his squad ahead of the clash, and could decide to hand defender, Yerry Mina a debut in central defence.

On-loan Barcelona midfielder, Andre Gomes made his debut against Crystal Palace last weekend and will keep his spot, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun are expected to again start on the bench despite scoring against Palace.

Manchester United’s potential stating XI: De Gea; Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw; Pogba, Matic, Mata; Lingard, Lukaku, Martial

Everton’s potential starting XI: Pickford; Coleman, Zouma, Keane, Digne; Gueye, Gomes; Bernard, Sigurdsson, Walcott; Richarlison. The kick-off time for the match is 5pm.
